"Hats are a great antidote to what's really going on. It's really their purpose to put a happy face on a sad world." (Stephen Jones, Milliner).

Interview with exciting bespoke milliner Bink from Pearls and Swine:

Your hats always maintain a style that is distinctly yours, how much do you take trends into account?
"I don't. I have no idea what is "in" this season. I don't buy fashion magazines, I follow some on Facebook as I am in love with amazing high fashion photography but in truth I am far more interested in the photography than the fashion in the image. When I create I occasionally half consider what I think will sell, then I throw that thought out and do what I want to do. So my range is very varied as one day I want create something elegant in ivory, lace and pearls and the next I want glam rock, glitter and insects. I don't keep up with my "competition" as I don't compete with anyone apart from myself and I don't really know who is charge of telling us how to wear our hair, what colour lipstick is current or how to style our eyebrows!? I think having a personal style is far more important than listening to what anyone else tells you is "allowed". I bought a few fashion magazines recently as I was going to be without the Internet for the night, I was horrified by most of what passed for fashion and relieved that what I do isn't fashionable, it's fun!"

The Fantastic Foxes!!!

This week I have mostly been listening to Foxes. This London based duo are on the precipice of greatness and to date have amassed over 1million hits combined on their sound cloud and you tube channels . Their music falls within the electro pop genre. Lead Vocals supplied by Louisa Rose Allen. I came across Foxes when I saw them open for Marina and The Diamonds on their Lonely Hearts Club tour. This girl brings  richness and depth to the music industry with her syrupy vocals so sweet sounding they make my teeth hurt. I am absolutely flabbergasted! How it is that talent of this calibre should be surpassed in popularity by the likes of Cheryl Cole? Foxes new track 'Echo' will be available on digital download from iTunes in November.
Louisa Rose Allen's stage presence is youthful and energetic her style is as quirky and effortless as he musical talent. On stage this weekend she sported the over sized varsity jacket on top of a cutsie and feminine floral dress and finished the look with a pair of black ankle boots. This is a great look and I have put together a little sumptin' sumptin' inspired by this look but more suitable the colder winter months. And of course it has that Billie Munk aesthetic.
The idea behind this look is layering, other than the fact it is uber cool this season it will keep you toastie when its cold outside and cool when its warm inside, that's science that is. This Varsity jacket is a collaberation between the House of Holland and American apparel brand Schott. This jacket will be available to purchase from Selfridges London in November. Any oversized jumper dress will do I think the grey goes really well against the vibrancy of the purple in this particular jacket, but whatever floats your boat really. Black Biker boots are a must with either a chunky knit pair of tights or a good robust pair of chunky walking sock. Ah what the hell, throw caution to the wind wear both! Nothing says trend setter like these kooky examples of a quality snood and these utterly fantabulous  Smittens, okay so they're not the most pratical your gonna have a hard time trying to hold your mobile let alone call or text from it but they certainly look like they'll keep your hands warm, they have a doody gold chain so you can thread them through your jacket so they'll never get lost. But really, what sold them to me is they look like paws, how cool is that!!

Fashionista Panda WTF!

Anyone who knows me will know I absolutely hate the xfactor. But I have to admit some times the styling is "on point" and totally "current."
At the moment I am totally loving these fat tongued adidas  high tops from Jeremy Scott's A/W 12/13 Collection , MK1s Charlie rocked out a white pair teamed with the loudest leggings I have even seen also totally awesome might I add.
Jeremy Scott is also the evil genius who brought us Jedwards panda high tops nd tigger tail  coats.

Blogging its beyond me.

So I wanted to create a blog. Having having the great fortune to visit London Fashion week recently I felt I wanted to share my love for all things fashionable with the world. I love to take photos and everyday I pass at least one person in the street with impeccable style. In this blog I want to demonstrate you can have a great sense of style without being in fashion and being in fashion doesn't necessarily mean you have any style. So here goes.... Scream if u wanna go faster!
